KAMBO NATURISTA TRAINING AND INTRODUCTION INTO SHAMANIC AND HOLISTIC MEDICINE IN PERU
The 21-day KN standard training is a well balanced combination of modern and traditional knowledge and practices, specifically designed for those that want to become comprehensive practitioners. The training is only available at our center in the Peruvian jungle, where Kambo frogs are in their natural habitat. You will also get the chance to meet members of the Matses tribe and learn about their traditional work with the Kambo, including how to find the frogs and extract their remedy. The course also includes an introduction into shamanic and holistic medicine, which gives you the opportunity to connect deeply to the frog spirit using the Amazonian shamanic practice known as dieta. You will receive full theoretical and practical training on the safe use of Kambo, and other related topics. The training is designed so that you are guided through a step by step program to become a skillful and confident Kambo facilitator.
The teachings are adapted to western standards and once the training is finish you will be able to apply the skills learned in the training anywhere in the world. Once accomplishing this training successfully you will be listed on our website as qualified KN practitioner, and you will also be able to get in touch with us and other KN practitioners in our private FB group where we discuss Kambo related topics.
After a year of practice, you may also apply to assist in one of our Kambo dietas or retreats, where multiple Kambo treatments will be administered to different individuals. All cases will be authentic, involving patients with a variety of health problems and needs. This hands-on learning experience is available for only one or, at most, two people at a time. Any KN practitioner interested in this assistance program can get in touch with us for more details.
The KN standard training is a combination of our KN basic training and the KN dieta training. Those 2 retreats can be taken separately, which may be more convenient for some individuals.

Training Schedule
We will depart around midday to our center. A minibus awaits to ferry us 44km from the city, leading on the primary road to Nauta. For the final kilometer, a dirt road emerges, accessible solely during the dry season and clear weather. Should these conditions align, our journey culminates at the center’s entrance. Alternatively, a brief 1km stroll beckons us if nature’s whims dictate otherwise.
We will start with the 1st Kambo ceremony, guided by Deyan. This will include basic theory and a step by step explanation.
Introduction to different medicines and instruments that are used in addition to the Kambo ceremony (Rape, Nu-Nu, Tobacco, Sananga, Agua Florida , etc.).
You will learn to make your own Chacapa rattle and learn how to use it. We will practice Kambo songs as well.
Voice opening and practicing of Kambo songs
In the morning we will have theory on:
- Holistic medicine (body, soul & mind)
- How to work with the Kambo on a holistic level
- The shamanic approach
- How to create and hold a ceremonial space
- Practical and technical exercises
In the afternoon we will take a break and then after dinner we will go with the Matses men to look for the frogs.
We will spend the morning milking the frogs and extracting their precious medicine. Following this there will be the 2nd Kambo application, which will be performed by Robinson. You will experience the power of the fresh medicine directly from the frog and see how a Matses treatment is performed.
Later in the afternoon, we will have the opportunity to listen to the Matses’ stories, and they will answer all your questions about their tribe and their use of the Kambo.
Later in the evening we will practice Kambo songs
Theoretical discussion on the following topics:
• Safe use of Kambo
• Application techniques
• How to support patients during the process
• First aid for overreaction
• Questions & answers
• How to integrate this traditional knowledge into modern society.
Dry run on self-application, and preparation for the dieta.
Throughout the dieta, you will experience 4 obligatory Kambo ceremonies, and up to 3 additional Kambo sessions for anyone who would like them.
The obligatory sessions are on the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th day of the dieta, and the optional sessions are on the days in between.
We will meet each morning, and one by one, each student will give Kambo to themselves, with our guidance.
You will have the chance to ask us any questions connected to Kambo medicine, but we request students to observe silence where possible, to fully focus on the Kambo work. This way you will get the most out of the dieta process.
On the 8th day of the dieta, there will be no Kambo sessions. Instead, the you will have the opportunity to experience the traditional dieta. This means you will be asked to stay in your hut all day. Food will be brought to your hut, and there will be a visit from the teachers where you can express your process if needed. Otherwise, you will remain in silence until the next day.
The process is a great opportunity to connect deeper with the frog spirit.
In the morning we will end the dieta and the you will enter the post-dieta.
Following integration work of the dieta teachings, dream sharing and interpretation of the visions.
In the afternoon there will be a Shamanic Breathwork session and
