Voices from Participants
“Wow … that was truly a profound, authentic Kambo Training – straight from the source.” There’s nothing comparable to what Deyan offers. His connection to the medicine and his integrity are unique. Deyan has become a dear brother to me and someone I deeply respect and admire for his wisdom.
The participation of the indigenous healer Robinson took the training to an even deeper level – his knowledge from his direct lineage working with this medicine was invaluable.
I now feel fully equipped as a Practitioner and am excited to continue the healing path with everything I’ve learned.
The food was also excellent – incredibly healthy, vegan, and delicious. The location itself has a healing atmosphere. During the Dieta, I learned so much about myself like rarely before. Sometimes our soul needs exactly this silence to truly arrive in life.
For me, the No. 1 recommendation for the most authentic and deepest Kambo Practitioner Training.
– Alex R.
“I participated in the 21-day Kambo Practitioner Training – and it was exactly what I needed to feel confident in administering Kambo.”
Deyan is extremely attentive, flexible, and at the same time precise in his teaching. He clearly shows us what is scientifically proven, what is spiritual, and what is pure conviction – so that we can explain Kambo responsibly to our clients.
He places particular emphasis on the correct technique for burning, applying, and holding space – to honor the medicine and give participants security.
We were able to learn from his many years of experience. His heart for the frog – and for life itself – is evident in everything.
The Dieta was physically challenging, but ultimately a valuable cleansing and an important step to truly understand the essence of the medicine.
Seeing the frog in person and harvesting the secretion was a deeply touching experience that has sustainably shaped my respect for the medicine.

How long does the training last?
There are various trainings and retreats with different lengths and focuses, each tailored to the needs of the participants. Each training includes a combination of theory, practice, and several guided Ceremonies to ensure a comprehensive understanding and safe application. In addition to the Kambo-specific programs, the platform also offers an Ayahuasca Retreat, which serves as an introduction to shamanic practices and is supported by the founder of Kambo Naturista.
The Basic Training lasts 14 days and includes theoretical foundations (e.g., on shamanic medicine, anatomy, and application techniques), practical exercises (such as self- and partner applications), as well as a total of 6 Kambo Sessions, supplemented by a shamanic breathing exercise.
The Standard Training lasts 21 days and integrates theory (e.g., on holistic medicine, shamanic approach, and integration of traditional knowledge), practice (including frog milking and partner exercises), as well as 8–11 Kambo Ceremonies, including an optional Ayahuasca Session.
The 12-Days KN Dieta-Training lasts 12 days and focuses on theory (e.g., on the origins of Kambo and Matses traditions), practice (such as frog hunting and medicine extraction), as well as several Kambo Ceremonies, with a strong emphasis on 8 days of Solitude-Dieta for spiritual connection.
The 9-Day Ayahuasca Introduction Retreat lasts 9 days and serves as an introduction to the traditional shamanic Ayahuasca practice of the Peruvian Amazon, without training participants to serve Ayahuasca themselves (a longer Apprenticeship is required for that). It includes 4 authentic Ayahuasca Ceremonies, learning how to cook Ayahuasca, shamanic use of Tabaco and Perfumes, learning Icaros (Ceremony songs) in Singing Circles, preparation of plant baths, guided Yoga practices, as well as Integration Circles for processing the experiences. The focus is on experience-based learning under the guidance of an experienced Ayahuasquero (Don Benigno) and the Kambo Naturista founder Deyan, who provides translation, mediation between tradition and modernity, as well as energy work. It takes place in a Retreat Center near Iquitos, Peru, and is suitable for beginners in shamanic practices; a preliminary contact check for suitability is required.
